LaSage Dormer

The project consisted of a complete roof tear off of the existing three layers including the original cedar shake shingles and installation of 30 year GAF-ELK Prestique High Definition asphalt shingles with a Shinglevent II ridgevent.  We completely redecked the entire roof and added three new skylights to the master bedroom.  The exterior recieved all new aluminum soffits, fascia and seamless gutters with the Leaf Relief gutter cover system.  As part of the energy program the entire home was upgraded with high performance vinyl replacement windows and complete with aluminum trim.  The upper two dormers recieved new pre-finished James Hardi cement fiber shake siding, which comes with a 50 year product warranty and a 25 year paint warranty.  We took the existing tiny dormer which contained an outdated and non-functional bathroom and raised the roof to accomodate a huge master bathroom.  Inside the bathroom we upgraded all the existing electrical and plumbing and then added a whirlpool tub and ceramic wall and shower tile and new ceramic flooring.  With the addition of a new sink base cabinet and a linen cabinet the bathroom was almost complete.  The new dormer also accomodated a new walk-in closet with a pocket door and full size mirror.  When we had the roof off we completely reinsulated the attic and wall cavities up to code.
